Welcome to Hello Taxi. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our services.
2. Information We Collect
- Personal information: name, email address, phone number.
- Location data: pickup and destination addresses, real-time location during rides (only while the app is in use).
- Payment information: processed by Tranzila; we store only the last 4 digits and a payment token.
- Voice recordings: only when you press the voice-booking button, used for speech-to-text (processed by Deepgram).
- Photos & camera: drivers upload verification documents and vehicle photos; riders may attach receipt photos.
- Usage data: ride history, preferences, ratings, and reviews.
- Device information: device type, operating system, push-notification token.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our taxi services.
- To process payments and invoices.
- To send ride updates and service notifications.
- To personalize your user experience.
- To ensure safety and security.
- To comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Information Sharing & Third Parties
We may share your information with:
- Drivers — your name, pickup location, and contact details to fulfill the ride.
- Supabase — database and account management.
- Google Maps — maps, geocoding, and routing.
- Tranzila — credit-card payment processing.
- Twilio — sending SMS verification codes.
- Deepgram — speech recognition for voice booking.
- Anthropic — analysis of uploaded taxi-meter photos for trip verification.
- Cloudflare — hosting, API infrastructure, and IP address logging for rate-limiting.
- Law enforcement — when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Push Notifications
We send notifications about ride status, driver arrival, and cancellations. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

8. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → My Account → Delete Account, or by visiting https://hellotaxi.co.il/AccountDeletion, or by emailing support@hellotaxi.co.il. Deletion removes your profile, ride history, and saved locations within 30 days. Certain records (e.g. tax invoices) may be retained as required by Israeli tax law.
9. Data Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Location and ride data are retained for up to 24 months for service history and safety. Payment receipts are retained for 7 years as required by law.
10. Children
Hello Taxi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience, analyze traffic, and personalize content. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notification or email.
